“No compromise”. A story of the name creating

We used to be known as the “worship team of the filial church of Gog Embassy in Kyiv called Real Love”. We introduced us like that with the explanations that we are from pastor Tope’s church, then from the church of pastor Ruslan. You know, that’s not the exact way to represent us, especially when we had an opportunity to hold concerts somewhere outside the church being just an ensemble. We were searching for the suitable name. We tried to invent the name but unsuccessfully. We even made our first album untitled.
“No compromise” was just a title of our second album that we made being inspired with the story about Daniel named Belteshazzar, Hananiah named Shadrach, Mishael named Meshach, and Azariah named Abednego – people who stayed true to their conscience and were truthful to God nevertheless hard consequences.
When we finished our second album, Ruslan Mahmudov (who was our leader at that moment) decided to entitle it like “Only You” and then added “No Compromise”.  As the designer made these two phrases in different styles, people thought one of them to be a name of our group.
I remember the situation, when I were fixing the question `bout the placement lease. “What’s the name of your band?” – Manager asked. “Write just Inna, please” – I replied. He said that he always writes only the name of the group. So I said: “No Compromise”. Manager was exsited:  “Oh! Cool! It sounds like “Offspring” but in Russian”. I thought, if it was cool enough for a person, who doesn’t know God, so why don’t we try it? To be brief, from that time our official name is “No Compromise”.
“No Compromise” is our life position. We don’t compromise with sin. We believe that every person is placed either in heaven or in hell after earthly life – these are the only variants. We’ve got Christ on the top in our hearts – no compromise.
